Emerald City Sports Cards was founded in 2020 as Fenix Rizing Comics, Selling Comics & Trading Cards Online thru Ebay & Instagram as a hobby and something to due while stuck at home during these trying times. I grew up collecting Sports cards & comics in my younger years 80's & 90's. I grew up playing sports here in the Pacific Northwest mainly Baseball but played a couple years of football & Wrestled some. My moms 2nd husband was huge into sports, Cards, Collecting etc. He worked for the Tacoma Stars indoor soccer team that was here back in the day. I went to so many games at the Tacoma dome its unreal, got to pretty much roam the dome while they played and messed around with my Step-Brothers pretending we were soccer stars like Preki...lol. He soon got a job working for the Seattle Thunderbird's over in the Arena in Downtown Seattle, So i got to do the same thing there with my step-Brothers and boy was it fun. If you ever went to any T-Birds games in the 90s and saw the kids playin street hockey in a corner or wherever.....That was us! I got to meet and hang out with all the team, get there Autographs and such. Got to meet Peter Nedved right when he came here from overseas, got Gretzky's Autograph When he came here to play the Red-Wings in an Exhibition match or something like that.........Which i Traded to Norm Johnson (Norm had a booth in the arena setup sometimes for selling cards as he had a Retail Sports cards store at the time) for some Eric lindros rookie year Score Boxes, thats a whole other story!!! I grew up on Griffey Jr at the Kingdome and was Grateful to see him and many other greats in the Kingdome and that Cannon going off every Home run. Sports cards kinda go hand n hand with being a huge sports fan and being active in sports growing up. I had as a teenager autographs of Bart Starr, Edgar Martinez, Gale Sayers, Kenny stabler, Griffey jr, Gretsky and more, It was such a great time in my life. Over time i stopped collecting and wasn't as active in sports, Kinda got away from the hobby during the early 2000's till about 2020. I did buy some.....During those years and collected a little bit, always stayed on top of sports as im still a fan and was active in sports with the friends and such. I was a Comic Book Fan but not as much as a sports though. X-men growing up was our Bread & Butter as the animated show came out in the early 90's. Deadpool and the whole Image Comics of the later 90's had a huge Impact on me, Magic the gathering came out mid 90's ish and i got into that. Huge wrestling fan back then, Grew up on wwf, nwa, uswa, wcw & ECW!!! Im the guy that had over 400 vhs tapes full of old raws, nitros and ecw. So Here i am in 2020 stuck at home, Thinking.....what can i do to make "some" income while were cooped up at home, had a buddy who was into comics big time, he was talking about comics and cards being really hot right now. I know Comics & Cards....! I was Comfortable enough to kinda dive right into The deep end & Started Investing Into Both Heavily. Started selling on Ebay & Instagram, Building a great Profile and Feedback in that Community. Boom, Bang....Pow, Got a Retail deal with a great distributor! Hope & Pray that i can Make this a full-time thing. Right now i'm only Selling Topps Trading Cards (Cases, Boxes & Single Packs), I do not have a deal with Panini yet! I am a diamond authorized retailer for Comics and can get Weeklys, Pre-Orders, Back-orders etc. I will have singles of Trading Cards for sale, Raw, Graded, Auto's etc. Low-End to High-End. Same with comics, raw, graded, exclusives, auto's etc. I Always try and have Competitive Prices on all my Products. You will get the best Packaging of comics in the market, same with Trading Cards.
